Bourbon County has gone a perfect 3-0 against Bath County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Colonels will face off against the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. Bourbon County is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.

Bourbon County came up short against Montgomery County on Wednesday, falling 14-5.

Bath County let Model stack five runs on them in the second inning on Thursday but luckily Bath County prevailed anyway. The Wildcats narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Patriots 8-6.

The team relied heavily on Memphis Beadle, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. Bath County is undefeated when Beadle posts two or more runs, but 11-13-1 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Cooper Cox, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Bath County is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-13-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Bourbon County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-18.

Bourbon County took their win against Bath County when the teams last played back in May of 2023 by a conclusive 12-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colonels since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
