Basketball Game Preview: St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders vs. Coral Springs Colts

The St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders will square off against the Coral Springs Colts at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Thomas Aquinas will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

St. Thomas Aquinas is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They breezed by Boyd Anderson to the tune of 77-38. The Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Clarence Westbrook Jr. continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 13 for 17 on his way to 30 points. Those 30 points gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Drake (DJ) Sandi, who posted seven points in addition to ten assists and three steals.

Meanwhile, Coral Springs had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They skirted past the Paladins 68-66.

St. Thomas Aquinas' victory bumped their record up to 24-2. As for Coral Springs, their win bumped their record up to 16-8.

Everything came up roses for St. Thomas Aquinas against Coral Springs in their previous meeting back in January, as the squad secured an 85-58 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Thomas Aquinas since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
