Baseball Recap: San Tan Charter Beats Glendale Prep Academy for Their Fifth Straight Win

San Tan Charter proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 28) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Glendale Prep Academy Griffins 4-3. The four-run effort marked the Roadrunners' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

The team relied heavily on Joe Markland, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Tommy Crupi was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

San Tan Charter has already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Chandler Prep on the 3rd. As for Glendale Prep Academy, they will take on Kingman Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.71 runs per game on average), something the Griffins will no doubt try to take advantage of.
