It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bellaire can now relate to. They fell just short of the Duncanville Panthers and Pantherettes by a score of 54-52 on Saturday. The Cardinals' defeat signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Duncanville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kayden Edwards, who posted 23 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Christopher Hunt Jr, who went 6-for-10 en route to 14 points.

Bellaire's loss dropped their record down to 26-11. As for Duncanville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 18 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-7 record this season.
