Preview: Scott Bulldogs vs. Lima Senior Spartans
The Scott Bulldogs just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Lima Senior Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on January 17th. Scott is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
Even though Scott has not done well against Southview recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Scott secured a 35-31 W over Southview.
Meanwhile, Lima Senior waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They enjoyed a cozy 47-32 win over Southview.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lima Senior to victory, but perhaps none more so than Maisie Strawser, who scored 16 points along with five steals. Strawser is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Angie Kohlhofer, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Scott has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Lima Senior, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.
Scott didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Lima Senior in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 35-29 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Scott since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
