Softball Game Preview: King City Mustangs vs. Everett Alvarez Eagles

King City is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight games on Thursday. They came up short against Carmel, falling 13-0.

Meanwhile, Everett Alvarez lost 17-4 to Soledad on Thursday. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Aztecs recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Amaris Perez was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Nayeli Thrantham also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Everett Alvarez's loss dropped their record down to 3-13. As for King City, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.

King City came out on top in a nail-biter against Everett Alvarez in their previous matchup back in March, sneaking past 7-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
