Basketball Game Preview: Trinidad Miners vs. Kim/Branson Mustangs

The Trinidad Miners will square off against the Kim/Branson Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Trinidad had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They escaped with a win on Tuesday against Des Moines by the margin of a single free throw, 37-36.

Kim/Branson not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since February 6th (when they won 61-25). They took their contest with ease, bagging a 41-7 win over Walsenburg. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Trinidad suffered a grim 42-22 defeat to Kim/Branson in their previous matchup back in January. Can the Miners avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
