Baseball Recap: Arizona College Prep Victorious

Arizona College Prep gave up the first runs on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against the Horizon Huskies by a score of 6-3. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Huskies last Monday, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

Grant McInturf looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted three strikeouts, the most he's had over his last five games.

At the plate, Jaden Guglielmo was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs he has posted over his last ten contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Cash Groppenbacher, who went 3-for-4 with one double.

Arizona College Prep's victory bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Horizon, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7.

Coming up, Arizona College Prep will square off against Paradise Valley at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Horizon, they will head out on the road to challenge Sunrise Mountain at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
