Basketball Recap: Legacy Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Legacy Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 63-33 loss at the hands of the Maricopa Indians. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-35 back in December of 2024.

Maricopa's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joseph O'Dell, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 16 points and six assists. Aidan Roa was another key player, going 7 of 14 on his way to 17 points and three steals.

Legacy Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Maricopa, their win bumped their record up to 7-3.

Legacy Christian Academy will challenge Kings Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Maricopa, they will venture away from home to challenge San Luis Obispo Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
