Soccer Game Preview: Deerfield-Windsor vs. Worth County

The Deerfield-Windsor Knights will face off against the Worth County Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Deerfield-Windsor will be strutting in after a win while Worth County will be coming in after a loss.

Deerfield-Windsor took a loss when they played away from home back in March, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They blew past Monroe 9-1. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 5-0.

Meanwhile, Worth County managed to keep up with Sumter County until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Rams lost 8-3 to the Panthers. Worth County have struggled against Sumter County recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Tebow Attaway and Noah Johnson scored all three of Worth County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 13 goals.

Worth County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Deerfield-Windsor, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Deerfield-Windsor got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March of 2023 against Worth County by a conclusive 9-1 score. In that match, the Knights amassed a halftime lead of 5-1, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
