Franklin-Simpson had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Bowling Green Purples. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 10-0 back in March.

Allie Utley made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in seven consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with six stolen bases and four runs. Those six stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
