Softball Recap: Navarre's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Navarre entered their tilt with West Florida on Friday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They walked away with a 6-2 win over the Jaguars. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Kayden Riddle spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits and racked up six Ks.

On the hitting side, Renee Hester was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Nadia Rivera was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Navarre's victory bumped their record up to 12-6. As for West Florida, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-10.

Coincidentally, Navarre and West Florida will both be playing Niceville the next time they take the field. The Raiders will head out to face the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Jaguars will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
