Softball Recap: Buhl Has No Trouble Against Homedale

Buhl not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 8th (when they won 16-2). They blew past the Homedale Trojans 15-8. This was payback for the Indians, who suffered an 18-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Adalyn Pearson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and one double.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jenna Ambrose, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April of 2024. Megan Ambrose was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Buhl kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Buhl's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-11. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.7 runs over those games. As for Homedale, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Buhl beat Homedale by a score of 15-8 later that day.
