Byers entered their tilt with Haxtun on Saturday with five consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with six. They walked away with a 52-42 win over the Haxtun Fightin' Bulldogs.

Byers was led to victory by Quincy Eacret and James Maes. Eacret shot 53% from the field on his way to 21 points and four steals, while Maes posted 17 points. Maes' big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aj Engle, who had four points.

Byers was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They are 19-1 when they've passed the ball that well.

Byers' victory bumped their record up to 19-4. As for Haxtun, the defeat snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 14-9 record.

Byers wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 60-31 win against Center on the 7th. As for Haxtun, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-32 victory against Del Norte on the 7th.
