Basketball Recap: Colbert Gets the Win

Colbert won the last time they faced Tushka and things went their way on Friday too. The Leopards secured a 56-50 W over the Tigers.

Despite the loss, Tushka saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Cleat Zike went 6-for-14 en route to 17 points and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for Zike. The team also got some help courtesy of Waylon George, who posted eight points and six rebounds.

Colbert's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Tushka, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Colbert will square off against Silo at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tushka, they will take on Kiowa at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
