Benet Academy won the last time they faced Neuqua Valley and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Redwings came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wildcats, sneaking past 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Redwings.

Benet Academy had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-16, 25-22.

Cabay Vincent paced Benet Academy's offense, picking up 11 kills. Vincent got some help from Mitra Luke and his 22 assists. Quinn Robinson controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Neuqua Valley lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Yash Bodalia, who had 28 assists and eight digs. He has been hot recently, having posted 13 or more assists the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Dean Javier, who had 14 digs.

Benet Academy's win bumped their record up to 17-12. As for Neuqua Valley, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-16.

Benet Academy and Joliet Catholic, looking ahead, after both having extra time off, will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Neuqua Valley, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Waubonsie Valley on the 14th.
