Cleburne was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They suffered a tough 17-1 defeat at the hands of the Centennial Spartans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Cleburne of the 15-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

For Centennial's part, Alyssa Mayner was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Mayner was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.
