Baseball Recap: Bloomington South Makes It 11 in a Row at Home

Bloomington South came tearing into Saturday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Floyd Central Highlanders 4-2. Four seems to be a good number for the Panthers as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Bloomington South got a great performance from Xavier Hemingway as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over 4.2 innings pitched. Hemingway has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Connor Osborne and Jake McCammon did most of the damage at the plate: Osborne got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base, while McCammon went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
