Football Recap: Algona Comes Up Short

Algona was the 28-21 winner over Webster City when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Bulldogs received a blow on Friday as they fell 35-21 to the Lynx. The Bulldogs just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Algona's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Webster City, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-5.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Algona will face off against rival Bishop Heelan Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Webster City is set to square off against their familiar foe MOC-Floyd Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
