Baseball Recap: Harrisonville Drops Highest Score of Season Against Holden

Harrisonville's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Holden Eagles by a score of 14-11. The Wildcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Ryan Goss was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Asher Hall, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases and two RBI.

Harrisonville pushed their record up to 5-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Holden, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-2.

Coming up, Harrisonville will head out on the road to square off against Archie at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Holden, they will welcome Lexington at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
