Volleyball Game Preview: Wawasee Warriors vs. NorthWood Panthers

Wawasee is 0-10 against NorthWood since October of 2020 but things could change on Thursday. The Warriors will host the Panthers at 7:00 p.m.

Wawasee came up short against West Noble on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-11, 25-7, 25-7.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for NorthWood, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They put the hurt on Lakeland with a sharp 3-0 victory on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Lakers: they've now won eight in a row.

NorthWood walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-16, 25-11.

NorthWood found their leader in sophomore Nola Nephew, who had six digs and three aces. Those three aces set a new season-high mark for Nephew.

NorthWood was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. They are 8-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

Wawasee's loss dropped their record down to 4-25. As for NorthWood, they now have a winning record of 13-12.
