Gavin Morrow put up the most strikeouts he's had since back in March on Monday. He struck out two batters over 4.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run any time he's pitched this season.

Morrow's strong effort led Stanwood over Marysville Getchell and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Spartans are 8-2 against Marysville Getchell going back to April of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
