Farmersville won the last time they faced Community, and things went their way on Saturday too. The Farmersville Farmers put the hurt on the Community Braves with a sharp 3-0 win. Winning may never get old, but the Farmers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Farmersville walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-17, 25-21.
Farmersville got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jenniel Soto out in front who had nine digs and four aces. That's the most aces Soto has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Margo Ingram, who had eight digs.
Farmersville was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 20 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.
Farmersville has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 24-13 record this season. As for Community, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 17-18.
Farmersville will head out to face off against Sunnyvale at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Sunnyvale will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Farmersville surely won't give up without a fight. As for Community, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Wills Point at 6:15 p.m.
