Soccer Game Preview: Marana vs. Tucson High Magnet School

Marana is 0-8 against Tucson High Magnet School since January of 2016 but things could change on Wednesday. The Marana Tigers will face off against the Tucson High Magnet School Badgers at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Marana is headed into Wednesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 13th straight game on Wednesday. They lost 9-0 to Sunnyside. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 165th, while the Blue Devils are ranked second).

Meanwhile, Tucson High Magnet School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Rincon/University, falling 4-1.

Marana's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Tucson High Magnet School, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7-1.

Marana suffered a grim 11-3 defeat to Tucson High Magnet School in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Marana avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
