Basketball Recap: North Union Comes Up Short

North Union was the 57-42 winner over Ridgemont when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The North Union Wildcats fell just short of the Ridgemont Golden Gophers by a score of 69-66 on Monday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (58), the Wildcats still had to take the loss.

North Union now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Ridgemont, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-2.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the North Union Wildcats face off against the Fairbanks Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fairbanks will roll in looking for their ninth straight win, something North Union surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ridgemont, they will finish 2024 at home by hosting Mt. Gilead at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Ridgemont knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Mt. Gilead likes a good challenge.
