Softball Recap: Dos Pueblos' Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Wednesday

Dos Pueblos and Harvard-Westlake squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Dos Pueblos had to settle for second. They took a 12-9 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolverines. The Chargers' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Dos Pueblos got a massive performance out of Anastasia Brunner, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Verkeniki Maniadi, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Dos Pueblos now has a losing record of 14-15. As for Harvard-Westlake, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-7.

Dos Pueblos does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Harvard-Westlake, they will take on Long Beach Poly at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. The Jackrabbits will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Wolverines surely won't give up without a fight.
