Volleyball Recap: McNary Comes Up Short

McNary was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the South Salem Saxons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Celtics of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

McNary was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-17, 25-21.

McNary's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for South Salem, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. McNary is set to face off against their familiar foe McKay at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, South Salem will square off against rival Silverton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
