Basketball Game Preview: Cameron Dragons vs. Oak Grove Panthers

The Cameron Dragons will square off against the Oak Grove Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Cameron is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They strolled past Richmond with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 53-39. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Dragons.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Oak Grove took on Excelsior Springs on Monday. Oak Grove enjoyed a cozy 49-35 win over Excelsior Springs.

Oak Grove's victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Cameron, their win bumped their record up to 3-1.

Cameron was able to grind out a solid victory over Oak Grove in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, winning 46-38. Does Cameron have another victory up their sleeve, or will Oak Grove turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
