             It'll be Battle of the Birds when  Hawks dukes it out withthe Vallivue Falcons at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both teams are coming into the  match red-hot, with Lakeland sitting on  five straight  victories and Vallivue on three.

 Lakeland had a senior duo take command as  Haydon Benson rushed for 42 yards and two touchdowns and  Kage (Lovie) Weil rushed for 156 yards. Weil's rushing production has been exceptional  as that marked his sixth straight game with at least 129  rushing yards.
 They were just one part of a punishing run game: Lakeland was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 233  rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  rushed for at least 214  rushing yards in six consecutive  matchups.
 Meanwhile,  you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Vallivue  on Friday. They blew past Bonneville 28-6. The Falcons pushed the score to  21-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Bees had  little chance of recovering from.
 It was another big night for  Onix Carson, who rushed for 159 yards and two touchdowns.  Cache Hance got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
 Vallivue didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as  Tyler Buckley,  Hance,  Ryker Oswald,  and  Lamar Davis picked up one apiece.
 Lakeland's record now sits at 8-2. As for Vallivue, they pushed their record up to 7-2 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  at home.
 Friday's   contest might be decided in the on the ground. Lakeland has been unstoppable on the ground this season,  having  averaged 222.6  rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Vallivue struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 202.1. It's looking like  Friday's  game might have some serious battles in the trenches.
