Baseball Recap: Heritage Takes a Loss

If Heritage was feeling good fresh off their 11-0 takedown of Fruita Monument on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles fell 9-4 to the Grand Junction Tigers on Saturday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.

Heritage saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Eells, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Heritage has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Grand Junction, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage will take on Valor Christian at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Grand Junction, they will challenge Montrose at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers are facing the Red Hawks at the right time seeing as the Red Hawks are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
