Soccer Game Preview: Redington vs. Houston

The Redington Huskies will venture away from home to face off against the Houston Hawks at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Redington has given up an average of 4.4 goals per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Redington is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Grace Christian, who was ranked 14th at the time (Redington was ranked 17th). The Huskies lost 5-2 to the Grizzlies on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for Redington in their meetings with Grace Christian: they've now lost eight in a row.

Meanwhile, after soaring to four goals the game before, Houston was a bit more limited in their match on Saturday. They came up short against Soldotna, falling 9-0.

Houston's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Redington, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Redington took their win against Houston in their previous matchup on May 1st by a conclusive 5-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Huskies since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
