Phillipsburg wins going away against Russell

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. John's/Tipton Catholic, the Phillipsburg Panthers were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They took down Russell 52-38. For Phillipsburg, this counts as revenge for the 48-39 loss Russell walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Phillipsburg was led to victory by Caden Seems and Rhett Shelton. Seems scored 11 points along with 9 rebounds, while Shelton scored 15 points. The match was Shelton's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Trey Carlson, who scored 8 points.
Phillipsburg's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Russell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Phillipsburg is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Ellis at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. Hopefully Ellis focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Saturday. As for Russell, they will be playing at home against Pratt at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
