Grand Island Lutheran won the last time they faced Harvard and things went their way on Thursday too. The Lightning walked away with a 2-0 win over the Cardinals. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lightning.

Grand Island Lutheran easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-16.

Abby Van Bibber paced Grand Island Lutheran's offense, picking up six kills. Van Bibber got some help from Chloe Keasling and her 14 assists. Van Bibber was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Grand Island Lutheran's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Harvard, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Grand Island Lutheran will head out on the road to face off against Silver Lake at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Harvard will be paying especially close attention to the Lightning's game: after the Lightning face off against the Mustangs, they'll take on Harvard again at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
