Softball Game Preview: West Branch Warriors vs. Glendale Vikings

For the second straight game, West Branch will face off against Glendale. The Warriors will venture away from home to challenge the Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Monday, West Branch was able to grind out a solid victory over Glendale, taking the game 8-5. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Isabella Nelson was a major factor no matter where she played. She tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Nelson was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

In other batting news, Lindsey Bainey was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Aubrey Chutko also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

West Branch now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Glendale, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-6.
