Softball Recap: Cabrini Takes a Loss

Cabrini lost against Franklinton back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cabrini Crescents took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Franklinton Demons.

Makayla Richoux spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned runs on 11 hits and racked up nine Ks. Those hits were her first of the season.

On the hitting side, Cabrini saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Piper Schaub, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases. Grace Williams was another, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Cabrini's loss dropped their record down to 1-6-1. As for Franklinton, their win bumped their record up to 4-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cabrini will challenge Livingston Collegiate Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Franklinton, they will venture away from home to challenge St. Scholastica at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
