Barren County barely beat Franklin-Simpson the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Barren County was the clear victor by a 10-2 margin over Franklin-Simpson on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Trojans needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.

Barren County got a massive performance out of Sutton Hyde, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI Hyde has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Axel Dysholm, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.

Hyde wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Barren County lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

The win snapped Barren County's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-4 record. As for Franklin-Simpson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Looking ahead, Barren County will welcome Grayson County at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Franklin-Simpson, they will face off against Allen County-Scottsville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
