Softball Recap: Welsh Greyhounds vs. Oakdale Warriors

Welsh was the 15-4 winner over Oakdale when they last played one another back in February of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Welsh Greyhounds fell 5-2 to the Oakdale Warriors on Monday. Welsh has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Maggie Johnson made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-3 with a double.

On Oakdale's side, Jolie West made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (she also only allowed one walk). West was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with an RBI.

In other batting news, Chloe Bradley was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. Madison Sumbler was another key contributor, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
