Soccer Game Preview: American Fork vs. Lone Peak

The American Fork Cavemen are taking a road trip to square off against the Lone Peak Knights at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. American Fork's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

American Fork was handed a three-goal loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Lehi a 1-0 shutout. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but American Fork were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Lone Peak faced Timpanogos in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Knights had just enough and edged out the Timberwolves 3-2. Winning may never get old, but Lone Peak sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

The win got American Fork back to even at 4-4. As for Lone Peak, their victory bumped their record up to 8-1.
