Baseball Recap: King Wolves vs. Centennial Huskies
King was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell victim to a tough 11-4 defeat at the hands of the Centennial Huskies. King was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Centennial apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2023.
King saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was DIEGO LOZA, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
On Centennial's side, Jaden McNeely looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
On the hitting side, Espn Simpson was incredible, going 2-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Bernath, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
King's defeat dropped their record down to 2-21. As for Centennial, their win bumped their record up to 19-6.
While King had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
