Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Jamisen Wilds and Jaquarius Davis Lead Lee Central to Victory

Lee Central won the last time they faced Chesterfield and things went their way on Saturday too. The Lee Central Stallions wrapped up 2024 with a 48-34 win over the Chesterfield Golden Rams.

Lee Central was led to victory by Jaquarius Davis and Jamisen Wilds. Davis went 8 of 14 on his way to 19 points in addition to five boards and four steals, while Wilds posted 14 points along with six assists and three steals. That's the most steals Wilds has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Demarius Gregg, who put up eight points.

Lee Central's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Chesterfield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lee Central will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Governor's School for Science & Math at 7:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. As for Chesterfield, they will face off against Andrew Jackson at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Andrew Jackson is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.6 points per game this season.
