Basketball Game Preview: Higley Knights vs. Queen Creek Bulldogs

The Higley Knights will face off against the Queen Creek Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Higley is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Arizona's top teams: Desert Vista, who was ranked 11th at the time (Higley was ranked ninth). Higley took down Desert Vista 71-57 on Saturday.

Higley's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Gavin Dabney, who went 7 of 13 en route to 16 points and six rebounds, and Noah Gloor, who went 6 of 14 on his way to 16 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Turner, who posted 12 points.

Meanwhile, Queen Creek ended up a good deal behind Red Mountain on Wednesday and lost 72-55.

Higley has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Queen Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.

Higley couldn't quite finish off Queen Creek in their previous meeting back in December of 2017 and fell 38-35. Can Higley avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
