Softball Recap: Spencer Takes a Loss

Spencer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of the Chequamegon Screaming Eagles. The Rockets were not able to make up for their defeat to the Screaming Eagles from their previous meeting back in March of 2015.

Spencer's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Chequamegon, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-7 record this season.

Spencer wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 8-7 defeat against Glenwood City on the 10th. As for Chequamegon, they have also already played their next game, a 12-7 loss against Thorp on the 10th.
