Baseball Game Preview: Pace Patriots vs. Gulf Breeze Dolphins

The Pace Patriots will head out to square off against the Gulf Breeze Dolphins at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Pace has four straight victories, Gulf Breeze has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Pace is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over Harrison County on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Gulf Breeze came up short against West Florida on Wednesday and fell 9-5.

Tommy Regan made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Hooten, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

Pace's win bumped their record up to 17-4. As for Gulf Breeze, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-7.

Pace couldn't quite get it done against Gulf Breeze in their previous matchup two weeks ago as they fell 4-0. Can the Patriots avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
