While losing is never fun, the Royals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington football rankings (they are ranked 257th, while the Hawks are ranked 92nd).

Mason Wilson was a one-man wrecking crew For Mountlake Terrace. as he rushed for 74 yards and one TD on only six carries, and also threw for 92 yards and one touchdown while completing 85.7% of his passes. The dominant performance also gave Wilson a new career-high in passer rating (165.2). Owen Boswell was another key player, rushing for 66 yards and one score on only eight carries.

Lynnwood's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mountlake Terrace, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
