Basketball Recap: Walsh Takes a Loss

Walsh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 66-47 bruising from the Boise City Wildcats. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Walsh lost, don't look at Samuel Wright. Despite the final result, he posted 12 points and five steals. Those five steals gave Wright a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hudson Gourley, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds.

Walsh's record now sits at 5-11. As for Boise City, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-11 record this season.

Coming up, Walsh is taking a road trip to take on Holly at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Boise City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
