Softball Recap: Irving Tigers vs. MacArthur Cardinals
While Irving put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for MacArthur. The Tigers blew past the Cardinals 17-0. The Tigers have beaten the Cardinals the last nine times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Cardinals has come to flipping the script.
Shantia Haymer made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
