Recap: Harrisburg Hornets vs. Rivercrest Colts

The Harrisburg Hornets lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on on Saturday was a bit more commanding. They had to suffer through a rough 65-36 loss at the hands of Rivercrest. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Harrisburg has suffered against Rivercrest since January 25, 2021.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rivercrest to victory, but perhaps none more so than Destiny Burks, who scored 25 points along with six steals. Burks hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. Another player making a difference was Mykayla Banks, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten steals.

This is the second loss in a row for Harrisburg and nudges their season record down to 12-7. As for Rivercrest, they pushed their record up to 11-6 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harrisburg will challenge Osceola at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Rivercrest, they will head out on the road to face off against Marmaduke at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arkansas (Marmaduke is ranked 129th, while Rivercrest is ranked 112th).
