Basketball Recap: Clinton Central Takes a Loss

Clinton Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 51-27 to the Tri-County Cavaliers. The match marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Tri-County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Clayton Atkinson out in front who almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Foster, who posted nine points.

Clinton Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Tri-County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season.

Clinton Central will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Traders Point Christian at 7:30 p.m. As for Tri-County, they will head out on the road to take on Frontier at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Frontier will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Tri-County surely won't give up without a fight.
