With a playoff win on the line, Niceville rose to the challenge on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Gulf Breeze Dolphins a 5-0 shutout. The win was nothing new for the Eagles as they're now sitting on nine straight.
Not much got past Chloe Bailey, who gave up just four hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Gulf Breeze off the board. Bailey has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Briana Noles was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Anabelle Shackelford, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
Niceville hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Gulf Breeze struck out ten times.

Niceville will welcome Chiles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Eagles 2.4, the Timberwolves 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Gulf Breeze does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
