Recap: Clifton-Clyde Eagles vs. Onaga Buffaloes
The Clifton-Clyde Eagles can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 70-41 victory over Onaga. Winning may never get old, but Clifton-Clyde sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Several Buffaloes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Konnor Nider, who scored 14 points along with five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Kolterman, who scored ten points.
Onaga struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Clifton-Clyde pushed their record up to 16-2 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home. As for Onaga, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.
Clifton-Clyde will head out on the road to take on Valley Heights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clifton-Clyde knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Valley Heights likes a good challenge. As for Onaga, they will be playing at home against Frankfort at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Onaga focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday.
